The Figured Maple Top features a beautiful 1/8 inch thick piece of solid figured maple that is hand bent to the top for the perfect sonic and visual compliment. The Samarium Cobalt Noiseless pickups offer the ultimate in superior tone and flexibility. The deluxe Lite-Bass tuning machine offers light weight, great gear ratio and positive feel with vintage cloverleaf key.Premium Alder with Flame Maple Top(FMT)or Quilt Maple Top(QMT) and Rosewood Fingerboard. This is the "cream of the crop" in Fender's new line of pro bass offerings! Presenting a host of new features including pickups, electronics, neck and body - all the latest refinements from Fender's R&D team. This gorgeous, hand-crafted American Deluxe J-Bass boasts a figured Maple top (flame or quilted) over an Alder body and Rosewood (on the 4-string) or Pao Ferro (5-string) fingerboard. Fender's special design NoiselessTM pickups add warmth and lows which complement the hardwood's natural clarity and brightness, producing a dynamic tonal range. The circuitry has been tweaked at the input stage (pre-shape, boost and EQ settings) to complement the unique sonic nature of the exotic woods. Bass EQ is centered at 40Hz 1 12dB with a 4dB per octave slope; treble is centered at 8kHz 1 10dB with a 2dB per octave slope. The treble cut sounds much like a passive control, for warm organic tones. The mid-control is centered at 500Hz and +10dB and -15dB with a wide-band slope. The circuit is powered by a new 18-Volt supply for maximum headroom. Available in a variety of finishes.
